About
Meet your counselor:
I began my career leading outdoor adventure trips in wild natural areas. I spent my days taking groups of participants of all ages hiking, rock, climbing, mountain biking, white water rafting and teaching environmental education. I loved teaching so much I became a public school teacher in 1998. I’ve had various teaching assignments, working with students at the continuation school as well as teaching virtually during Covid, which entirely shifted my life path. I saw a growing need to support our community’s mental health so I changed my career to school counseling and therapy. I attended USC and earned my graduate degree in social work and became a school counselor in 2023. As a school counselor I work with students on academic planning, crisis counseling, and everything in between. I run small groups, work with students individually, and teach psychoeducation classes. I support students and families and I offer guidance to those in need. As a private therapist I help individual clients of all ages process difficult life experiences, support them in stressful times, and help them reach their goals and dreams.
